Locator overdenture system allows to solve the basic problem associated with removable implant overdentures in modern dentistry, namely to ensure secure attachment of dental implant- supported overdentures or partial dentures.

The Locator Implant Overdenture is indicated when there is an adequate ridge and the prosthesis will be primarily tissue-borne. These implants provide retention and can be used in any number of implants, although a higher number of implants usually function better.

When to use the GP Implants Locators
-Overdentures or partial dentures supported completely or partially by implants in the mandible or maxilla.
-Anatomical limitations
-Inability to endure an invasive surgery
-Financial limitations
-Ideal class l occlusion
-Adequate ridge (no bone grafting procedures)

How to use

  1. Evaluate available bone width for implant positions.
  2. Measure the tissue thickness from the top of the implant to the crest of the gingiva at its highest point.
  3. Select the proper locator abutment based on the prosthetic platform and the tissue height.
  4. Choose the abutment cuff height that exactly equals the tissue height or is slightly taller, we have to open the flip cap and remove the locator attachment and then place the abutment holder sleeve into the locator abutment driver, and securely carry it to the oral cavity.
  5. Thread the locator attachment into the implant until finger tight. Apply a minimum of 30 Ncm of torque with a calibrated Torque Wrench.

Clinical Advantage
-Simple and easy insertion
-Low Price for the patient
-Low vertical profile
-Easy maintenance. Abutments and overdenture must be cleaned daily
